My Gay Night Out

Yes you read the title right! One of my roomies is gay and he had a big Bday bash at my house and had a few of his buddies in town for a couple days so they let me tag along clubbing with them. I must say it was a very interesting experience. I thought that a lot of guys would be buying me drinks and hitting on me but I guess I wasn't there type, lol.

-The Abbey in West Hollywood-

Our first stop was "The Abbey" on Santa Monica blvd in West Hollywood. Sunday night is Gay Night there and it was also like 95% Black so I was a double minority there. The club itself was amazing and I really want to go back when there is less cock floating around. I could tell that it was a spot for regulars because everyone seemed to know each other there. My roomies friends were cool as fuck and took me right in(no pun intended). The line was crazy as shit outside but it was an image thing as the inside wasn't packed when we finally got in but it soon got very packed. I was introduce to everyone as "The Straight Friend" all night so I think the word spread quick and that's why no dudes bought me drinks, next time I am going to say I'm Gay and see what kind of experience I have, lol. I noticed a lot of Old dudes running around which is kind of weird for a club scene, I later found out that they call the Old Gays "Daddy's" which I though was pretty funny. We bounced from there fairly early to head to Thai Town.

-The Study, Thai Town-

"The Study" was on Western and Hollywood basically and was jammed in between a Shady Motel and a Used Car lot I think. This club was pretty ghetto and was like 99% black, I felt a bit more out of place at this club because people there were grinding on each other pretty hard and there was actually a fight, I'm assuming over a dude. The fight was quickly squashed and we just danced and hung out(and NO I wasn't grinding on shit!). I got pretty wasted as there wasn't much else to do for me there but I had to try out a Gay Club one time . Gay Black dudes Love Beyonce apparently because when her songs came on it was like there anthem, kind of funny because they all knew the lyrics and sang pretty well(I guess that's one stereotype that is kinda true). We closed the club down and headed to Tommy Burgers for some Chili Intake.

I was very happy that I went out with them because they were a blast and funny as shit. I did expect to see more lesbians though but I did see a few Trannies, lol. Good Times bonding with my Roomie and I would def do it again.

Keeping it Real,
-William John Raitt
